Brief:
“A point of focus and place of rest within the assumed context of a larger community garden. Explores the relationship between architectural garden design, and modern construction techniques, using complimentary materials and plants in creative and effective ways, within a contemporary framework”.

Concept:
The garden is formed by a series of converging lines and soft curves that have their origin in a larger geometric landscape pattern. The dynamic interplay between these elements forms detailed design features at the micro scale. The planting style uses mass planting of single mostly perennial species, selected to create a light and airy feel, contrasting with the hard material elements.

Key elements:
Triangular bespoke water pools, stone-clad raised beds, black porcelin tile planter seat containing a specimen tree, curving rendered walls, brightly coloured patio space, dramatic perennial planting.
